Auto Insurance Only Cheaper, Let’s Gather Some Interesting Facts

Not Really Shopaholic
The majority of customers surveyed 58% report being somewhat or extremely unlikely to shop for car insurance.

Insurance Shopping?
1 out of every 3 respondents 29% report having not shopped for car insurance in at least 5 years; an additional 9% report never having shopped for insurance.

Not Comparing Car Insurance
Of those respondents who said they have not shopped for auto insurance within the last year, 19 percent have been with their current auto insurance company more 10 years.

In addition of those customer who have been with the same car insurance agents for 7 to 10 years, 42 percent said they are extremely unlikely to shop for car insurance.

Young People With Privileges
When young drivers were being asked how likely they are to shop for car insurance, consumers ages 18 to 24 (39 %) were more likely than consumers ages 55 to 64 23% to report being extremely or somewhat likely to shop.

Women vs- Men
Women 32% were less likely than men 40% to shop around for car insurance.

Expected Cheap? Expect Cheaper!
Of consumers who bought their car insurance coverage over the Internet or by phone, 38% shopped online.

Inteligent Consumers
57% of consumers said they re-evaluate their insurance company at least once a year, with 24% saying they evaluate their car insurance twice a year or more.
